Seoul National University Asia Center Southeast Asia Research Group Support Project Announcement
The Southeast Asia Center at Seoul National University's Asia Research Institute aims to support small-group research meetings for graduate students within the university who are studying Southeast Asia and planning to write master's or doctoral theses focusing on this region. We look forward to active participation.

Provision of seminar venues and meal expenses (Seminars will be held at the Asia Research Institute's seminar rooms; meal expenses are to be freely managed but must not exceed 60% of the budget).

Funding support for purchasing textbooks, printing, and other research-related expenses.

Networking opportunities with domestic researchers on themes of interest to the small-group research teams.

Financial assistance of up to 500,000 KRW during the operation period of the research team.
[Application Process]

Form a ‘small-group research team’ consisting of a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 5 members who will study Southeast Asia. Write a research proposal (attached template) and submit it to seacenter@snu.ac.kr by 4:00 PM, April 21.

Research team activities must run from May 2025 to the end of August 2025, with at least 5 research meetings.

The research proposal should be 1–2 pages long.

Successful teams will receive individual notification from the team leader.

Conduct at least 5 seminar meetings (including 2 general meetings).

First general meeting: Presentation of research topics and team-specific meeting methods.

Last general meeting: Presentation of research results.

Submit the final research activity report (up to 10 pages, A4 format) by August 24, 2025.
