In the 21st century, the central topic of digital market regulation worldwide is undoubtedly 'platforms.' As discussions on platform legislation continue in South Korea, the regulatory discussions and practical experiences from other major countries can provide valuable insights into the appropriateness and direction of competition regulation for digital platforms. Therefore, the Seoul National University Artificial Intelligence Policy Initiative (SAPI) has teamed up with the Center for Technology Innovation and Competition (CTIC) at the University of Pennsylvania to organize an international symposium. This event will feature carefully selected experts in platform regulation from the EU, Germany, the UK, the US, and South Korea. The symposium will explore regulatory discussions and experiences from these countries through the lens of competition and seek appropriate legal and policy directions for South Korea.
