Recruitment of Tutors and Tutees for the Peer Tutoring Program for the Second Semester of the 2024

■ Recruitment Categories:

  • (Liberal Arts) Humanities and Social Sciences: Korean, English, Writing
  • (Major-specific) Customized for Specific Subjects: Department of Statistics, Department of Economics, College of Engineering
    • Separate recruitment for "Customized for Specific Subjects: College of Agriculture and Life Sciences" and "(Integrated) International Students" categories.

■ Eligibility:

  • Tutors: Undergraduate students in their 2nd year or above (current students only; leave of absence students are not eligible)
  • Tutees: Current undergraduate students needing tailored academic support in basic liberal arts and major-specific subjects.

■ Application Process:

  • Access through Seoul National University Portal (mySNU) > Extracurricular Activities > Search for Program Name (Humanities and Social Sciences Peer Tutoring or Customized Peer Tutoring) > Apply for the desired subject
  • Required Documents for Tutors: Attach documents when applying for the program
    • All tutor applicants must upload a "Transcript."
    • If you have experience in tutoring, include "Year and Semester of Tutoring Experience" in the <Similar Activities Experience> section.
    • English tutors must upload a "Certified English Proficiency Test Score" (e.g., TEPS, TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS) as a PDF or JPEG file. The expiration date of the scores does not matter.

■ Benefits for Selected Tutors:

  • Activity fee of 1.2 million KRW (disbursed after deducting other income taxes if activity hours are fulfilled)
    • If activity hours are not fulfilled, the payment will be calculated based on <Total Activity Fee/Total Activity Hours> (rounded down to the nearest hundred won).
  • Certificate of Activity issued upon request: Available after fulfilling activity hours and completing the tutoring.
  • Reference books (textbooks) available for purchase or rental upon request.
  • Outstanding Tutor Award: Certificate from the Director of the Basic Education Center and a prize of 200,000 KRW.
